HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT - Talking About Addiction, Trauma and Stress
For this week's homework we will listen to the fascinating Dr. Gabor Mate talking about the relationship between trauma and addiction.

Today's English homework is a funny British comedy called 'My Blackberry isn't working.' The sketch will help you learn technological vocabulary. It is all based on the double meaning of words. We offer an explanation and a (not very good) translation of the two meanings.

In today's homework assignment we will look at the characteristics of FASCISM. Why is it so fascinating? Why do certain elements of it appeal to everyone? The lesson begins with a discussion about some of the more common characteristics of fascism. We then look at the THIRD WAVE EXPERIMENT where a Californian high school teacher attempted to convert a group of students into fascists. After we will watch the German film 'THE WAVE (2008) which is a modern recreation of the Ron Jones story.

Today we take a look at English cultural practices and ask 'How can I find a girlfriend or boyfriend in Britain?' What English language phrases and chat-up lines can I use? What techniques should I employ? What are the dos and donts of dating?
